This article isn't very good, but is it worth it to fix it?
[edit]Right now this list isn't very good. Most of the people on it aren't researchers -- Walter Bright? Yukihiro Matsumoto? Guido van Rossum? Brendan Eich? Making a popular language doesn't make you a PL researcher.
I'd be willing to make this a real list of PL researchers, but before I waste the time, I'd like to know if anyone else thinks it is a good idea to even have this article. Most of our articles covering PL researchers are (roughly) stubs. Christopher Monsanto (talk) 18:06, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
- I just inserted all Turing Award winners who fall in this category, and all such Turing award winners are identifier and show the part of their citations that deal with this category. I also added a number of people to the list --Dijkstra, Hoare, Gries, Floyd, Misra, Booch. And I will notify those I added and suggest they add people themselves. We'll see whether this has an effect.
