Merging List of people who escaped from prison & List of prison escapes

[edit]

The article List of people who escaped from prison is mainly about people who escaped multiple times from prison. I prefer to move the page back to List of people who escaped multiple times from prison, like how I started the article. --Sander.v.Ginkel (talk) 10:01, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I personally think that's an excellent suggestion, I can transfer the information about Friscoe. GiraffeBoy (talk) 13:56, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Open prisons

[edit]

Can failing to return to an open prison really be considered an escape? People walk out of open prisons all the time, don't they?--Shantavira|feed me 16:41, 4 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Danelo Cavalcante

[edit]

He’s not quite there yet, but I believe Danelo Cavalcante is approaching the lasting notability needed for an article. 1) He’s a fugitive on two continents, wanted for murder in both. 2) His escape led to changes in the Pennsylvania prison system, to include firing of staff and physical modifications to the prison. 3) Reporting on his escape, and each new development, has continued to be reported worldwide. 4) His escape has led to one of the largest manhunts in U.S. history.

Cavalcante will likely meet notability, and soon. Juneau Mike (talk) 02:04, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

François Besse

[edit]

The list says he escaped prison 7 times, but lists only four. It doesn't have any citations, and he doesn't have his own page. He isn't named in the timeline at all. Are there any reliable sources that can back up the number of times he escaped? Wikifan153 (talk) 08:06, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
