I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Date of Transfer of power from Devine to Romanow

I'm pretty sure the date of Oct 21 is an error as that was election day. The Saskatchewan archive's page on the Saskatchewan Ministries gives the date as November 1 which is presumably the correct one. So I took the liberty to correct this error. Shipguy (talk) 03:10, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

The premier page and the pages for Ministers and Ministries give a different date. I imagine this to be an error so I have emailed the archives. I see you have changed the date of the beginning of Scott's premiership from Sep 5 to Sep 12. This doesn't appear to be an error but appears to based on the fact that Sep 5 was the date the LG commissioned Scott to become premier but Sep 12 was the date the cabinet was sworn in. The case of the first Alberta premier Rutherford is similar with him being commissioned on Sep 2 but being sworn in on Sep 9. In both cases Alberta and Saskatchewan consider the premiership to have begun when the government was commissioned as technically the office of premier wasn't (isn't?) a official position. I don't think it is correct to state Scott was designated premier when he became Liberal leader as his becoming premier was the LG's choice. Shipguy (talk) 04:45, 21 August 2011 (UTC)

I figured it may have been a similar situation as Alberta, with the first premier being sworn in after the creation of the provinces, and being applied retroactively, but we don't have a reference saying so. Yes, the designation is a bit confusing, the other designation dates are for the party, where as the first guy was designation by the LG. 117Avenue (talk) 06:01, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
