Great Idea for a Topic yet Needs Much Work

[edit]

Firstly, I would like to state that the topic "Pre-Columbian Engineering in the Americas" most certainly meets Wikipedia's General notability guidelines: We have numerous articles on far more specific cultures, disciplines and time periods (such as the articles on Roman Engineering, Malagasy Architecture or the article on Kaḷinga Architecture), many far less extensive and/or influential (such as the articles on Brutalism, Jenki Architecture or the windcatcher) than the culturally, geographically and chronologically vast Pre-Columbian Period, and that several (among them, the [[Maya architecture|page on Maya Architecture] and Inka Architecture] articles) are more specific versions of this article: And, from what I have seen, none of these pages have any serious challenges to their notability. I would also like to say that I find all of these meet Wikipedia's notablity guidelines and thus so does the page here concerned.

Secondly, I think that, while the article as it stands as of the time of this post is obviously highly lacking in sources and in completeness, I plan on helping to remedy these deficiencies alongside any of the willing of my fellow Wikipedians.
