Proposed name change
[edit]Hey, I think this article is misnamed. Euphemism is about slapping a nicer name on something which is considered taboo or impolite-to-discuss-openly-for-some-reason. On the other hand, this is an excellent article about politically motivated name changes. This is not euphemism!
So I propose to rename this article to "List of political renamings". How's that?-Bazuz (talk) 21:02, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
Orphaned references in List of politically motivated renamings
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of politically motivated renamings's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 14:51, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
- I fixed the first orphaned reference, but the second one eludes me. I lived in AK for 7 years and my brother is Native Alaskan - I am almost positive the bit about being able to refer to all of the tribes as Inuit is incorrect but I didn't want to change it in case I am mistaken... Anybody have a citation? Caffeinated42 (talk) 18:29, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
