- I concur with this. The English article for the party uses the same name as well. BananasAreViolet (talk) 10:26, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

[edit]I see that Centre Party ideology marked by me as 'social democratic' has been changed into 'social liberal'. As the CP is a member of Liberal International and ELDRP, it may seem logical to call this party 'centrist' or 'social liberal'. As I'm Estonian myself, I may confirm that despite its name and official centrist ideology this party has played a role of left wing opposition for many years, and its real position in our political landscape is somewhere where Weastern democracies have their social democratic parties. On the other hand, our 'official' Social Democratic Party has been a member of right-wing government coalitions (together with Fatherland Union and Reform Party). So that in a sense Centre Party has filled the vacuum of the left.
- We could make it left-wing instead of centrist, so that it would be labelled left wing, social liberal. There are more social liberal parties situated on the left in the political spectrum. Electionworld 16:05, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
How can it be, that the ERL (Eestimaa Rahvaliit) is labeled centre-left on this page, but nationalist-conservative in the linked article? What is the right description? As much as I have heard, it's nationalist-conservative, but I don't know too much about it...
- National-conserv is just a facade they use sometimes; in fact they're centre-left agrarian, some may also say: populist.--Constanz - Talk 06:35, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Actually, the situation is like this: for the last 18 years Estonia was suffering hegemony of right-winged parties, which lead Estonia in a serious economical crisis. Estonia is suffering poverty, unemployment and a lot of discriminations. So that's why for starving people of Estonia the Centre Party seems to be something like the CPSU - some revolutionary radical left party, which can solve most of economical and social problems in Estonia —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.190.195.86 (talk) 18:41, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
