Abuse (wrong use) of the UN Statistical Unit Geoscheme
[edit]Judging on a number of controversies (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:United_Nations_geoscheme), including that the geoscheme has never been destined to be used outside the internal use of the UN statistical unit, I call you to abandon the idea of separating every single article on wikipedia regarding continents into these "subregions". Not all (if any except for the Statistical division) agencies use it.--89.128.236.143 (talk) 00:01, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
Too specific
[edit]Hello, don't you think this is a bit too specific and doesn't allow comparing the data? It all can fit on one page!--109.144.220.183 (talk) 17:12, 30 May 2015 (UTC)
- Agree. I propose merging all the "List of political parties in [REGION] by country" articles into this list article.--Jabo-er (talk) 15:55, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose, on the grounds that the combined page would be unwieldy. There are lots of political parties in the world! 22:09, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
- Strong Oppose, Agreed with preceding statement. There are tens of thousands of political parties throughout the world (if not more). A page of that magnitude and scope may be challenging to organize/maintain, while also be confusing to readers. It's probably best to keep things narrowed down/focused by geographic location for general readability purposes. Archives908 (talk) 02:34, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
- Closing, given consensus emerging in 2021 not to merge. Klbrain (talk) 20:44, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
