Sharon Tate
[edit]I removed Sharon Tate from the Acting section because I could find no convincing evidence that she ever lived in San Pedro. As her wiki page indicates, she was a military brat and her family moved around a good deal as she grew up. I found a few fan pages (example) which quoted her as having said "When Daddy was transferred back to the States and San Pedro, California, I convinced him that I'd be safe in Hollywood..." However, the only cite-able source I googled my way across was a google books version of Sharon Tate: Recollection by her sister Debra Tate, on page 61 of which is the apparent original quote, which says "When Daddy was transferred back to the States and Palos Verdes, California, & etc." The most logical conclusion we can draw is that her father was stationed at the military base in San Pedro, and the family lived on the other side of the hill in Palos Verdes. Anyway, my overall point is that no convincing evidence has been found that Sharon Tate ever lived in or went to school in San Pedro, or indeed that she can be said to have been "from" San Pedro in any real sense. Obviously, if anyone can find and cite evidence to the contrary, by all means put her back in the list. JustDerek (talk) 19:22, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks, Derek Just; Being noted on the TALK page may be enough. -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 23:36, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
