Suburbs
[edit]I have edited the line "* Grant Fuhr - hockey player - born in Spruce Grove, Alberta, which is now part of Edmonton" to say that Spruce Grove is an Edmonton suburb. It is not officially a part of the city and many there (and in nearby Stony Plain) are opposed to amalgamation with Edmonton. 199.185.130.83 (talk) 19:28, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
The sportsman list is very messy. For example, it elaborates next to Grant Fuhr that he is from a suburb, but not for Iginla, Pisani, Commodore, Whitney, Lupul, etc. - consistency please. It also specifies that Justin Pogge is an "AHL hockey player" (which is redundant as it translates to American Hockey League hockey player) whereas the rest are just listed as "ice hockey player". 68.151.125.216 (talk) 22:18, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Sports
[edit]No. Pro Wrestling is sports-entertainment. And Benoit is perhaps the most athletic of all on the current WWE roster. He defnetly belongs underr athletes. I am proposing we move Rochelle Loewen however as she was in WWE for all of a month and never once wrestled. She is more famous for being in Playboy. So I suggest we put her under models. 68.149.186.10 (talk) 04:52, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
wayne gretzky is not an edmontonian, so im deleting his name from this list -- Zapacna (talk) 17:25, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
I am moving Chris Benoit to actors. Pro Wrestling is not a sport, but an act. 70.65.21.64 (talk) 21:11, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
We should probably add the infamous curling team of Randy Ferbey, David Nedohin, et. al Joezasada (talk) 21:19, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm - I'd say Wayne Gretzky became famous while living in Edmonton and so would be notable and eligible for the list. Edmonton named a road after him. 142.229.136.225 20:57, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Ted Byfield
[edit]I was going to add Ted Byfield but on reflection I'm not sure that he actually lived in Edmonton for long, although his major media business - Alberta Report/Western Report - was certainly based there. Anyone know? Barnabypage (talk) 22:05, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Pittsie Ryan?
[edit]Pittsie Ryan? The Edmonton newsboy who set out, in 1913, to walk around the world, for a prize of $30,000 donated by the combined newspapers of Edmonton...? Anybody? 121.44.221.96 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 11:17, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
