Please change the items on Wikidata, because the bot will overwrite your changes to this list. To remove an item from the list, either update the creator field (P170) in the Wikidata item to another painter or update the instance of field (P31) to indicate it is not a painting but something else. Note that paintings formerly attributed to Jacob van Ruisdael will show up in this list, as will paintings that he worked on that were mostly done by other figure painters. Any changes you make will only be reflected in the next bot update (usually a day later). Jane (talk) 10:07, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Congrats on this article! And, furthermore, I believe this announcement was motivated by this article :-)
However, a few things I'd specifically like to change here are: to de-link all the artwork titles from their Wikidata item; to add a new column for the wikidata item (or some other way of showing that link that isn't by linking it to the title; and changing the "inception" column to "date". Thanks, I agree with you and I also noticed you wanted to change "inception" to "date". The problem is that all of this text is coming from Wikidata, and inception is the name of the date property. So the default name of the date property must change in order for the list to change. Magus talked on twitter about offering some options and it would be nice to have some tuning options for this bot. After all, artworks have their own "vocabulary" as do other things, like people or places. So I think this is a good place to start talking about improvements along those lines. Italics is a nice-to-have but not really necessary. The other lists don't have them either. The italics were for the wikidata links, by the way - the local links were never italicized. Jane (talk) 16:48, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
