Needs coords for redlinks
[edit]There was a recent addition of the height of Mount Norman in Qld, but I am a bit troubled because we have 3 Mount Normans in Queensland and the one that is around that height is in Girraween in SE Qld and not what I would describe as the Northern Tableland which is the heading above the Mount Norman entry. As the mountain name is redlinked and the tableland is also redlinked, I cannot be sure what mountain being referred to here in the absence of coords to disambiguate the mountain. Not sure for all states, but in Queensland and NSW, mountains are gazetted by coords and LGA and not by which range or tableland they belong to. My suggestion is that any mountains/ranges/tableland in this article which is redlinked should have coords provided or a citation to the relevant state place name entry for purposes of accurate identification or be removed. Longer term, I think we might be better served with a table (as has been done for ACT and TAS) rather than a list, with columns like coords, LGA, range/tableland, height, which can by used to sort by name, height, range/tableland, lga etc according to the user's purpose. I think this would be a better way of providing basic information for mountains which don't really warrant an article of their own. Kerry (talk) 02:38, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

Mount Elliot
[edit]Regarding Mt Elliot:
In the section "List of mountains in Australia by topographic prominence", Mt Elliot is stated to be 1235m. However, further down the article in section "Queensland" --> "Central and North Queensland", Mt Elliot is misspelled ("Mount Eliott (1,234 m)[31]"), unlinked, and also has a different height. The reference link did not work for me.
Moreover, the article on Mt Elliot (Queensland) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Elliot,_Queensland - states "Mount Elliot which rises to a peak of 1220 metres above sea level". OpenStreetMap shows it at 1220m also.
QTopo (Queensland Topographical Map) - http://qtopo.dnrm.qld.gov.au/Mobile/ and Wanderstories (https://wanderstories.space/the-summit-of-mt-elliot/) show the height at 1218m.
Should this be looked at and edited? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Luenw (talk • contribs) 23:03, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
Possible changes
[edit]In final section I think NT should be listed in alphabetical order, not after WA.
HP not defined. Presumably Highest Point.
