We've also got this long list to include. These are all from the authorised expansion packs and the novels, all of which should be considered canon unless the main games contradict them. All are worth mentioning but none warrant the creation of a new article so here is the best place. It's quite a substantial amount of work, I'll be working on it for a the next few months. Help would be appreciated. I've constructed the following table to display profile information and a progress column. -- S@bre 15:36, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

I object to characters from 3rd party 'add-ons' being added into this article. Just because they are authorized add-ons doesn't mean they are sanctioned by Blizzard like the various Starcraft e-books and novels. If they are added, I suggest that you might as well add characters from the likes of the Antioch Chronicles or Legacy of the Confederation. If characters like Hauler, Kaloth and Morik, all of which have either appeared or are mentioned by Blizzard in some fashion are deemed insignificant to be mentioned, then neither should characters from dodgy, obscure add-ons. I suggest you focus on adding characters that have been featured in Starcraft e-books who are relevant to the backstory or future development of the Starcraft primary characters, especially the Dark Templar Saga. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 220.236.165.164 (talk) 03:41:37, August 19, 2007 (UTC)
- Consider Hauler, Kaloth and Morik for a moment: Hauler is a name with an image and a rank from Ghost: no substantial information is available. Kaloth is just a name: no substantial information available. Morik is a character from one mission who doesn't do much: no substantial information available. Those three characters at most warrant a footnote. On the other hand, Jack Frost and Jenson Archimedies are in full length expansion packs of around 30 missions, there is a fairly large amount of detail on the actions and development of these characters. You might also consider that to authorise and to sanctionmean the same thing (don't believe me? Look it up!). These add-ons are not the dodgey obsure add-ons done by some random git in a bedroom like the two you mentioned, but are full commercial products authorised, sanctioned, agreed to, whatever you want to call it, by Blizzard. Dodgey, obsure add-ons don't get full reviews with the established journalism in the industry (even if those reviews are somewhat negative). It's exactly the same vein as many other expansion packs - authorised by the original company and developed by another company - same ideas as Doom3's expansion, the Half-Life expansions and countless others (including Brood War, which was developed by Saffire if you want to by picky). The add-on characters stay as there is no rational reason for discarding them as canon: they form part of the official expanded universe just as the novels do. Yes, some priority should be given to characters in the novels who have some relevance to the overall storyline, but you'll find that doesn't extend past only a small number. -- Sabre 11:08, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Cleanup?
I don't see an explanation here for why the article needs cleanup. There's nothing on the cleanup page for it, either. The article is modelled exactly on the Star Wars minor characters page, except there's no images (sorry about that, but Blizzard hasn't made them available).
I'm removing the tag. If you want to put it back, please explain why it needs cleanup.

I have to ask these guys not be added to this article, it will become overly messy and long. A seperate page like List of Characters in StarCraft Novels and Expansions would be better suited. The Clawed One 19:13, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Okay, before you add another character, can we discuss this? The Clawed One 20:59, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry for the delay in a reply, I only just noticed the new comments. I was thinking more along the lines of splitting the article alphabetically in half. All the characters should be included one way or the other but doing so in one article is not pheasible (and will no doubt go over Wikipedia's stated file sizes) and as you say can become messy. To split the article directly in the middle alphabetically into List of minor characters in the StarCraft universe A-M and List of minor characters in the StarCraft universe N-Z is an alternate way: it keeps the characters - which are all of the same universe no matter what angle someone looks at it - all together (to an extent) rather than cutting them off because they originate in different sources. -- S@bre 10:13, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
Daggoth is next
Some jerk deleted the Daggoth page, so I'm adding him here. Kimera757 15:54, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
Fate of Daggoth
This topic states that Daggoth was killed when the second Overmind was slain. Some fans believe that Daggoth may still be alive and possibly commanding a fair share of the Swarm. That aside, Kerrigan and the other heroes never explicitly say that Daggoth was one of the Cerebrates that merged... rather, he encouraged a handful of the lesser Cerebrates to merge and form the new Overmind.
As an extra side-note, a Red Cerebrate (the colour of Daggoth's Tiamat brood) appears on Level 8, Episode V, as a target for extermination by the hand of the United Earth Directorate, but it does not stand out as Daggoth (does not bear Daggoth's name or portrait, where the background is blue rather than green) and quite possibly not the senior Cerebrate at all.

Use of Enslavers
Why is Enslavers used as a reference on this page? It's not canon! - SigmaEpsilon → ΣΕ 11:23, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Nothing in it contradicts the story, and it's developed by Blizzard. Both Enslavers and Dark Vengence are canon. -- S@bre 14:52, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Unit Clarification
The description of Taldarin states that he was the first dragoon and that that doesn't explain why he lived so long. A point of clarification is that dragoons are made from wounded warriors and old men, and that the dragoon body serves as a sort of exoskeleton, a cybernetic body of sorts, as it says in the Starcraft Manual, which explains why Dragoons will live so long. I am going to change this in the main article.--Eidlyn 19:12, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Removal of Horace Warfield
I'd recommend getting rid of the section on General Horace Warfield. It seems to me that there isn't enough information available to really warrant the existance of his section and with Ghost unlikely to emerge any time soon (if at all) we won't be getting any further information for a long time. It's in the same league as the faction leaders mentioned in the StarCraft manual: we know of their existance and their purpose, but since we don't have any real details available we just mention them and their connection where relevant and leave it as that. Best example is with the other cerebrates at the Zerg Broods page. -- S@bre 11:32, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
Well, these are the ones that I think can go. Findlay, Tychus J. is a short one, but as SCII is recent and it is likely he'll be important, we should let him stay for now, just as a note. Jackson Hauler can go, as can Kaloth, Gui Montag, Morik, Horace Warfield. None of them are particularily imporant to either the games or the books. And, if its large enough, yeah, we should split the page. The Clawed One 15:32, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
If there are no objections I'll remove Kaloth, Montag, Morik, Hauler and Warfield sometime on 3 June. We can always dig them back out of the history archive if Hauler, Montag or Warfield ever present themselves again. -- S@bre 14:52, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
No objections voiced, removing specified characters. -- S@bre 11:05, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
First appearances
Is it not possible to provide sources to where these minor characters first appeared? We know not all of them appeared in the game so a reference would be greatly appreciated. For example, I don't know where Tychus Findlay first appeared. In the game, a book? No? --Destron Commander 07:11, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Findlay has a source of whatever linked right in his article. The Clawed One 14:01, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
