Formatting and linking of this list

[edit]

Immit seems it would make a lot of sense to link this to Talk:List of organs of the human body, and format everything here to a searable and sortable table. Maybe on the format: and then go through all the things mentioned in Talk:List of organs of the human body

probe material needed for the test Lab that preforms analysis on the material Analysis that can be done on this test type
Blood Immunological lab, Microbiology, serological lab, ...
FFPE tumour tissue ...

just to name a few, would this grouping make more sense? So that even a non-medical professional could navigate it? I feel navigating this is something that even a lot of medical professionals struggle with? But still it is so essential and such a huge part of modern diagnostics and most of these things does have wiki articles in one way or another. so we will have to make a way to navigate them no? then we also have the huge theme of blood test sneaking in on us with things like: Category:Blood tests Claes Lindhardt (talk) 20:45, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
example of some of the types of test which can be done with blood, on the same format as here please see: Category talk:Blood testso Claes Lindhardt (talk) 21:04, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Once we have found a good way to format it, it should be somewhat easy to add the about 2000 types of test that a normal north european hospital have to offer today. Claes Lindhardt (talk) 21:05, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Consistant categorising and sortability

[edit]

It seems the various test listen in this list have been categorized according to different systems and conventions, should we try to clean that up a bit with a sortable table? it seems that the ICD-10 has over 70,000 codes, so should we split this table up into smaller tables? a Typical hospital properly provde between 2000 and 5000 test on thier 'testing menu' if we expect this list to be so long how do make sure it stays easy to navigate.

example of inconsistencies: Sometimes things are put into groups based on where they are collected, sometimes where the final result of the test is used, sometimes on who analysises them. We need to figure out and agree on what thier uniquie identifieres are. With a sortable table, people can decide themselves what they want to sort according to

Does it make sense to make an API which pulls data from: https://ifcc.org/ifcc-scientific-division/sd-committees/c-npu/npusearch/ , how many of the tests listed here have wiki articles? And how many of them do we expect will get articles? 128.0.73.13 (talk) 08:56, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
