[edit]Heads up folks. The very 1st paragraph of this page was clobbered by some previous edit, clearly by mistake. I do not know the magic wiki mechanism for looking back over past revisions so I am in no position to fix it. List of marine mammal species
Freshwater dolphins
[edit]Do freshwater dolphins belong on this page? While they obviously evolved from ocean-dwelling ancestors, they no longer dwell in the ocean. They are not "marine" any more than such freshwater mammals as beavers, river otters, and muskrats are. To include them on a list of marine mammals (with "marine" being defined as "of or relating to the ocean") seems ill-advised. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.224.66.196 (talk) 20:03, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
