Names not on list and why
[edit]I created this a long time ago and finally posted. There are a lot of names to cull. If you cull a name, please list it here, to create examples of what names are inappropriate.Jacqke (talk) 00:46, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
- John Kameaaloha Almeida (1897 - 1985) (United States) played mandolin but not known because of mandolin or having made people especially aware of mandolin
- David Conan[1] was a student in Toulouse, not enough information to place on page
- Doris Flemming (1932 - 2004) (New Zealand) no information about this mandolinist
- Dahmane El Harrachi (1926 - 1980) plays mandole, not mandolin
- Tim Hart (1948 -2009) (Great Britain) solid mandolin player, mandolin not his dominant instrument
- Paul Hooper (Australia) Member of Sydney mandolins, plays guitar
- Cosmo Jarvis uses mandolin in one or two songs
- Kevin Jonas not his main instrument, very little mandolin presence on internet
- Barney McKenna (Ireland) played mandolin known mainly for banjo
- Danilo Nicolai (1915 - 2001) not enough information available about this mandolinist
- Yann Tiersen mandolin not main instrument
- Joe Walsh of The Eagles. Credited with playing the mandolin in online bios, but cannot find a single example of him doing so.
- Clarence White (United States) talented mandolinist but known mainly for guitar innovatio
