[edit]Please consider giving any recollections you might have about kid's TV shows you remember when growing up...—Preceding unsigned comment added by PAIRdoc (talk • contribs) 23:18, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
- The examples and perspective in this article or section may not represent a worldwide view.
This may be true - so wouldn't it be best to make this a "List of local American children's television series" ? Kharkless—Preceding unsigned comment added by Kharkless (talk • contribs) 19:53, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- Done. Have also added a cleanup tag. Wikis need to be fixed to redirect to the appropriate people and formatted correctly. Also, more shows need to be added for various markets and those that never had shows should be deleted. ⇔ EntChickie 09:11, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- Began removing empty markets and reformatting for consistency. (bullets in wiki style, station names first, etc.) Got to Minnesota, decided it had a better format. (alpha by program, stations after) Too lazy to redo formats right now, so left that market alone to use as model later. Gave up for now around New York. Feel free to jump in. --Markzero 19:02, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
I was also wondering if perhaps this whole list should be converted to a subcategory of the category: American children's television series ? Any thoughts? --Markzero 19:22, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Candle Cove
[edit]Candle Cove is a fake show. Someone added it as a reference to a short horror story making the rounds on the internet that came from a website called Ichor Falls. People trying to give fiction credence. It should probably be deleted. I would, but I have a feeling that someone would just revert it anyway. 68.19.215.197 (talk) 11:24, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Blinkie
[edit]I remember a show called "The Adventures of Blinkie" (Blinky?) about a boy who has adventures in an enchanted forest. The beginning and end of the show were live action (filmed), but the greater part was a puppet show. At the beginning of the show, the boy blows on a magic powder horn and is thus transported, in puppet form, to the forest. Among the other characters were a witch and her beautiful, good and dumb sister, who aids the good guys as best she can. The sponsor, or one sponsor, was Amazo pudding. Kostaki mou (talk) 18:45, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
- Incidentally, this is definitely NOT the same show as The New Adventures of Blinky Bill. Blinkie/y is a boy, not a koala. Kostaki mou (talk) 03:05, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
Filbert the Flea
[edit]This was a short show consisting entirely of narration by a man who also played a piano. I'm not sure about the flea's name, but it was something like that. The theme song, sung by a woman, referred to him as a "very clever fellow." This was from the early 50's. Kostaki mou (talk) 18:50, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
- The name was indeed Filbert. I found more information at http://www.ask.com/answers/65772221/filbert-the-flea-cartoon (The original poster erroneously remembered the show as a cartoon. She was corrected by the next one.) Kostaki mou (talk) 23:37, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- My memory of the piano may be a mutation of the narrator drawing sketches and ripping them off a pad (as I post on that site). Kostaki mou (talk) 00:10, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

The Club House
[edit]The Club House (or possibly The Clubhouse) was broadcast Saturday mornings in 1958. It might have been on other years as well--I don't remember. It was a program created with the Chicago Boys' and Girls' Clubs and featured a different craft each week. Ned Locke was the host and children from the Clubs demonstrated how to make the craft.
