Automation of the Hendricks Head Light
[edit]Sources give three different dates for the automation of this light. The 1933 date given by D'Entremont is implausible as being the date of deactivation; the 1975 date in the USCG page is also unlikely given that none of the sources mentions keepers after 1933; in the 1950s and onward these would have been coastguardsmen. Therefore I'm given to conclude that LHF's 1951 automation upon reactivation date is the most plausible. Mangoe (talk) 17:09, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
Saint Croix River Light fate
[edit]There is some confusion about the fate of this light. There is a distinct change in height on charts dated after 1957, not 1976. "Automated", as seems to be the case in a number of lights, seems to mean that this is when they put up the new tower. Mangoe (talk) 03:51, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
