Swimming Pools for Idiots, 101
[edit]People who lack for intellect to sufficiently differentiate basic objects, should never be afforded self-entitlement to edit this resource. Case in point: The Pacific Ocean is not a swimming pool, any more than would be Hansen Dam, in Lake View Terrace, California. I'm sorry, humblemost apologies to you, no gentle way of putting this, Hansen Dam is not (NOT) a swimming pool. It is a flood control basin!
FYI: Dams, rivers, oceans, ponds, estuaries, flood control basins, or mass wasting impounds are not (NOT!!!!!) swimming pools. Get it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.136.128.87 (talk) 21:29, 13 April 2018 (UTC)

It supposedly to have 41,200 square metres, pool measures 380m x 220m in widest points, it pool measures 380 m x 220 m, volumeo of water is 76 700 m3. So why isnt this beast on the list?

There is a public, fresh-water swimming pool in Cranston, RI, United States that is at least 20,000 sq. feet in surface area. The city website lists its dimensions here: "Budlong Pool: Located in the Eden Park section of Cranston, the Budlong Pool is one of the largest outdoor pools in the country, measuring 260 feet by 80 feet and holding over 1 million gallons of water." (http://199.204.253.17/generalpage.php?page=64) if someone would like to add it to the list or source additional information.
Pool to add to list?
[edit]Kosciuszko Pool in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn is 23,000 sq. feet, according to the NYC City Parks website: https://www.nycgovparks.org/parks/kosciuszko-pool/facilities/outdoor-pools/kosciuszko-pool. That should make it large enough to make this list 141.155.150.135 (talk) 20:24, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
A "Swimming" pool is a place where you can swim, isn't it ?
[edit]San Alfonso, Chile, cited as 2nd world biggest,is not a place where you are allowed to swim. It is thus just an ornamental basin in the form of an "artificial lagoon", just like the basins in the gardens of Versailles Castle. So, semantically, it is NOT a swimmming pool and does not belond to this list... as long as this list keeps this title. 2A04:EE41:4:1111:F0D7:978:19D9:F680 (talk) 11:16, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
