Apple 1Q 2012

[edit]

4 Apple Consumer electronics United States 2012 1Q 24 January 2012 $13.06 0% $13.06

That's not possible. 1Q doesn't even end until March 31st. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.34.28.208 (talk) 22:46, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Apple's Fiscal year matches the US Federal fiscal year and ends September 30, so 1Q2013 ended on December 31, 2012. More info about corporate fiscal years Tomhuxley (talk) 15:55, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Apple FY 2012

[edit]

"Earnings $54.5B released 23.01.13". This amount is Q1 2013 sales, not 2012 Financial Year earnings. Needs amending, preferably deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.250.123.128 (talk) 23:56, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Earnings?

[edit]

The article is called "List of largest corporate profits and losses". Yet the table introduces another term - earnings. Is it net profit? Is it revenue? Is it post- or pre-tax? Le Grand Bleu (talk) 13:27, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Earning and profit/loss are equivalent terms. The problem is that some of the companies (e.g. Apple) have after-tax earnings listed and some others seem to have pre-tax earnings listed. A consensus should be reached here on whether to list pre-tax or after-tax earnings and that should be clearly stated in the lead, one way or the other. M Carling 14:04, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

PEMEX

[edit]

Pemex lost 30.3 billion dollards (source : Financial Times, feb 29 2016) in 2015. It should be on the list. --Raminagrobis (talk) 21:35, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
