This article needs to be reworked. Many of the islands listed and linked here are Islands not associated with Maryland. Maryland may have islands with such names they are however not the same as many of the islands linked to this document. Some islands are in other states, others in other countries.

No kidding... I took care of a number of them, like Herring Island, but there are some (a lot?) left yet... like St. Pierre Island. Peter Horn 02:08, 24 December 2007 (UTC) I'll do more later. Peter Horn 02:10, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think I took care of all the bum links and I created some usefull new links. The idea is to check any and all new links before finalizing them. A lot is left to be done yet. Peter Horn 03:25, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is this really an island? If not, it does not belong in this list unless there is also Broomes Island (Maryland) Peter Horn 00:12, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think islands are like notable people. A named island in Maryland does not cease to be an island because there is no Wikipedia article about it. Broomes Island is also in Maryland (no where near Virginia). Cliffswallow-vaulting (talk) 19:45, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
