[edit]We have a problem with Colossus class BS.
Are they Ironclads or Pre-Dread.?
They are not listed here RN ironclad list, and it says that ships of this class were called "Battleships", rather than ironclad for a first time in history.
That means we should be listed on List of pre-dreadnought battleships of the RN.
But article about class them call "ironclads" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colossus_class_battleship_%281882%29).
Same article states that they had many innovations - breach loading guns, steel armour, compound armour!
I'm very interested in the topic, but not enough competent to make judgment where we should draw a line between "Ironclads" and (pre-dreadnought) Battleships.
What others think?
