Starting it up.
[edit]Hey, I found a bunch of films, and yes later I'll bring proof of these short films. But, anyways theres only two films that im skeptic about and thats The Night Of JFK and #7 on the list Kill-also which may be a foreign film, because I remember seeing it at a festival in Oregon, and I think it was foreign. I'll research a little more and delete the ones theres no proof for.. Later Tri-color 11:39, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
A list of ALL short films?
[edit]If so, the list would be enormous -- thousands upon thousands of independent short films have been produced. For example, Stan Brakhage has made some 300 films -- Are all of these to be listed here? Editor437 (talk) 01:13, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
- Perhaps we should limit this list to independant short films that have a wikipedia article. This level of notability is often used as a threshold for notable residents or alumni lists. RJFJR (talk) 14:46, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
Where does this definition of a short come from? The wiki page on shorts gives no minimum and there are whole festivals devoted to films less than 10 minutes long. If no defence is given I will edit this to show as 'under 40 minutes', which corresponds to the def in the Shorts article.
What is the notability level we want here? I suggest that only those with a wiki page should be accepted. Shorts are made by the thousand per year- I would love to add my film, which has won an international award, but that is NOT the spirit nor the practical reality of wikipedia.
- I agree. Though quite a lot of them listed only have external links--TimothyJacobson (talk) 21:25, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Define
[edit]. Define "independent" film makers, please.

Format
[edit]Also, I think there should be some kind of format. Like Name of film, Year, other information--TimothyJacobson (talk) 21:19, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- Since we're using the same data types over and over I'm going to make a table. Civicoblivion (talk) 16:01, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
