Turkish Film Festival in Europe?
[edit]Istanbul is a transcontinental city in Eurasia, straddling the Bosporus strait (which separates Europe and Asia). Everything east of the strait is in Europe. Everything west (including the Antalya International Film Festival), is in Asia. But it's listed as a Film Festival in Europe here. The Istanbul International Film Festival is held in movie theaters all over the city so an argument could be made that it is the world's only transcontinental film festival but geographically the Antalya festival is in Asia. Turkey is not a member of the European Union so I am wondering what the criteria is for putting it in the "Film Festivals in Europe" list here. Kire1975 (talk) 20:52, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
- Kire1975, I think that you got east and west switched around by mistake (east=Asia), but I tend to agree that the individual film festivals in the eastern parts of Turkey belong in the Asia lists. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 14:06, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
