"E. D. Ferries". Brooklyn Daily Eagle. Brooklyn, NY. 19 June 1885. p. 2. lists a few ferries. --NE2 16:11, 6 March 2007 (UTC) Two companies under the same management:[reply]

Bronx - Queens section:

North and South Brother Islands, and Rikers Island are politically part of the Bronx, not Queens. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Taksim25 (talkcontribs) 19:32, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

[edit]

This is an interesting list. I wish I had something useful to contribute in the way of prose, but I don't sufficiently understand the period. Jim.henderson 17:13, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Question marks

[edit]

I notice there are a lot of lines where the dates are open-ended. Like, "South Ferry, 1836 - ". Having no date indicates that the ferry line is still in operation. If the lines are no longer running, they should have question marks. -Freekee (talk) 18:42, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are they all defunct?
