Nicobar_Islands says that Indira point was southern most point of india only till 2004 tsunami. i am not reverting the edit now, but waiting for further response.nids(♂) 20:41, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article on Indira Point has more information. It states that it was submerged but expected to reappear. Whether this has yet happened is unclear, but perhaps this would be better served by a footnote. Warofdreams talk 02:22, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank your for trying to NPOV this page, but your going too far without watching if your edits make grammatical sense in your urge to deface Jammu and Kashmir into Indian-administered Kashmir. The debate of the usage of Indian-administered Kashmir vs Jammu and Kashmir should be discussed elsewhere, and I suggest you bring it up on a more relevant page. Indian-administered Kashmir redirects to Jammu and Kashmir unlike Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Your edits are hilarious and inane This particular edit refers to Arunachal Pradesh. Yet you twisted it to bring it into the Kashmir fold. =Nichalp «Talk»= 16:45, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just like you try and deface northern areas into pakistan administered kashmir you are a hypocrite of the highest level86.156.208.16 (talk) 18:09, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I am honoured to be in your bad books. Now kindly do something constructive or get lost. =Nichalp «Talk»= 06:02, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't mean to sound partisan, but why *is* the administrative entity over Karakoram Pass listed as Indian-administered Kashmir and not Jammu and Kashmir? There is no political entity that calls itself Indian-administered Kashmir. In my opinion, the claim can and should be left as disputed, but the "Indian-administered Kashmir" phrase is going beyond what NPOV requires, and should be changed to use "Jammu and Kashmir," the name of the Indian state. For example, the Extreme points of Pakistan article uses the phrase "Gilgit-Baltistan," not "Pakistan-administered Kashmir" and rightfully so, as only one country in the world, India, refers to Gilgit-Baltistan as Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Antarctica

[edit]

India has never made a claim on Antarctica, this would be like claiming one of their embassies in northern europe is the northernmost point in India. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.44.72.203 (talk) 09:23, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, this seems rather spurious to me. I've removed it. Shimgray | talk | 19:06, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dafdar

[edit]

Dafdar is in the Taghdumbash Pamir near Tashkurgan in China. Is it really true that India officially claims this area? Is there a reliable source for the claim? It's not in the List of territorial disputes. --Mhockey (talk) 16:05, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The person who has created a page on dafdar is Chinese. InformativeAditya (talk) 14:11, 25 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
