China Red Data Book of Endangered Species

[edit]

or, as this source has it, the "China Species Red List": regardless, there needs to be more about it, its relation to the IUCN, its legal status within China, and its Chinese name. — LlywelynII 12:29, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, this article fails in what it was originally intended to do. In China, the wolf Canis lupus is listed as Near Threatened in the Red List of China's Vertebrates,[1] with all hunting being banned for this legally protected animal.[2] However, this will not be reflected in the list in this article due to its limited structure. Yet it purports to have some "expertise" on the endangered and protected species of China. William Harris • (talk) • 00:08, 26 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
