Definition Guyana
[edit]@Tom Radulovich: I think that the definition of Gu(i/y)ana has caused confusion. The Guiana in "Guianan moist forests" is the Guianas (Guyana/Suriname/French Guiana and neighbouring areas in Brazil/Venezuela) and not just the country Guyana. Basically you can copy and paste this document as ecoregions in Suriname (as well as French Guiana). "Paramaribo swamp forests" technically doesn't belong in the list, because it's a protected area within Suriname, however the swamp extends into Guyana which is probably why Guyana has been added as a category. Maybe it is better to change the article in some way to include Iwokrama Forest, Shell Beach, Guyana, Kaieteur National Park, Rupununi savannah. KittenKlub (talk) 07:26, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- This is a list of the ecoregions, as defined by the WWF, which are in the country of Guyana. It doesn't look as though the Paramaribo swamp forests actually extend into Guyana. The national parks and wild areas you mentioned are part one one or more ecoregions, but aren't themselves ecoregions; mention of them could get worked into the appropriate ecoregion articles though.
