Geographic categorization

Does anyone know how is this list compiled? If an earthquake has the epicenter outside Romania but is felt in the country, will it be listed here? Alma (talk) 19:59, 25 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Misleading information

[edit]

In some events the magnitude is exaggerated. Is it possible for a Mw 4.7, 9.9km[1] deep earthquake to be qualified as "The strongest earthquake ever recorded inside the Carpathian arch" ? --AndreiPope (talk) 19:31, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for posting. Any help you can provide with this would be really welcome. That's one thing we have to keep our eye on around here is the effects and/or magnitude of events being overstated. Dawnseeker2000 20:14, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of a main article for the 2023 main event.

[edit]

I'm in the process of making a main article for the 2023 event in my sandbox, but I think I whoud require consensus if this event is notable. In my opinion, it is notable, but what are your toughts? EditingMatthew (talk) 14:45, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There shouldn't be one until reliable sources report significant impact. Currently this earthquake fails WP:EVENT for an article. At the present, this list can sufficiently cover the impact of this event. Dora the Axe-plorer (explore) 14:50, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. From my knowledge, media reported some damage to Targu Jiu City Hall, but I guess we'll have to wait and see until more information becomes avalable. I'll still work on the article behind-the-scenes just in case. EditingMatthew (talk) 15:33, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
