References format
[edit]- The layout of the footnotes is somewhat hard-coded and doesn't hyperlink very well. Is there any reason it can't be done using the standard <references/> form? Also I've converted a couple of the references to use the {{UK SI}} template that encourages use of the official title rather than just the year and number. - As far as I am aware, with the <references/> form, it would just generate one list, so you wouldn't be able to separate notes on designations vs dating and identification or the relevant authorities, or even separate section 1 and section 2 designations. [edit]I edited this page to include links to the associated NHLE record for each wreck on behalf of Historic England who are responsible for the management of wrecks designated under the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973. The NHLE record includes further information related to the wreck. I have also edited the 'responsible authority' section to reflect this, as Historic England took management of protected wreck sites over from English Heritage.Phoebe MSDS (talk) 16:13, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
Marine (Scotland) Act 2010
[edit]In 2010 Scotland issued the Marine (Scotland) Act which essentially involved the dedesignation of wrecks in Scottish waters protected under the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973 and the subsequent redesignation of these wrecks under the new Marine (Scotland) 2010 Act as historic MPAs (Marine Protected Areas). See here for source. Therefore, the wrecks in this list that are managed by H.E.S. (Historic Environment Scotland) need to be removed and a new category page made for them.
