Shouldn't many of the courthouses here be listed without redlinks, but rather just in black ink (without wikilinks)? That's what is done in List of county courthouses in North Carolina, where only courthouses that already have articles are wikilinked. Perhaps wikilinks should be used where there's some reason to believe the courthouse is individually notable and an article is expected relatively soon. Perhaps limited to when there's an assertion of notability and at least one source in the Comments column.
Either way, I think that courthouses in common county names like Adams and Boone should be mentioned on the corresponding disambiguation pages (Adams County Courthouse, Boone County Courthouse). In a few edits just now I delinked the Adams and Boone courthouse names here, but put in anchors to their table rows using the names any future article should use, if they turn out to be individually notable and someone actually does create articles for them. And I set up redirects from Adams County Courthouse (Quincy, Illinois) and Boone County Courthouse (Belvidere, Illinois) to the table rows. And I added them to the disambiguation pages. This is straightforward and will be easy to maintain, if done this way.
If a given courthouse with ambiguous name is to show as a redlink, it can/should still be added to the corresponding disambiguation page, without need for an anchor or redirect, and by an entry on the disambiguation page like "White County Courthouse (Carmi, Illinois), one of Illinois' county courthouses".
To take this forward, could the soon-to-be-articled / more obviously notable ones be designated differently here? --doncram19:14, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
