Extrapolated yearly?

[edit]

So northern countries still averaged way below zero. It would be great if yearly data is also uploaded instead of average. Very little shown from average number. Melting and formation of polar ice require certain temperature over certain period of time. YogiHalim (talk) 21:12, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Something to add

[edit]

We should calculate the temperatures to Fahrenheit so some people can understand.

Disputed?

[edit]

Lots of data in the article seems incorrect. For example, the article lists Myanmar's temperature as 13.05 degrees Celsius, which is impossible considering its (sub)tropical location and average elevation.
Estonia's 2 degrees Celsius temperature is also probably wrong. The article Climate of Estonia list its average high at 10 degrees and average low at 3 degrees.
Another problem is Bosnia and Herzegovnia. This country does not have very high elevation, so its average temperature will be similar to other mediterranean countries, and 9.85 degrees may be too low. IntegerSequences (talk | contribs) 01:23, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, the temperature appears to be inaccurate for some countries and the current source (Lebanese Economy Forum) isn't a super vetted source (even though they are using data that seems, they might have messed up calculations).
I am in favour of switching to using data from World Bank, and am willing to change over to this dataset if no objections are given by the end of the month. EarlyCaterpiller (talk) 10:20, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
