Conflicts in PRC
[edit]Mention needs to be made of the 1956 Sino-Burmese border War. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregory NZL (talk • contribs) 11:15, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
Tibet was a foreign land when invaded by china wheras Indo-bangla incident was a mere skirmish hence respectively they should be in and not in their sections.Qazmlp1029 (talk) 17:20, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- Let me be clear, Indo-Bagladesh is a conflict between two sovereign states and that is why it is included. Your repeated removals of this conflict and the addition of Tibet conflict clear reflects your POV. You are entitled to your own POV but Wikipedia has a policy of neutrality. Nirvana888 (talk) 17:28, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
That was a skirmish that happened on a minor scale, Tibet was a sovereign state when invaded by china way back in 50' it is still a conflict. See History of Tibet and Tibetan Government in Exile.Qazmlp1029 (talk) 17:35, 27 September 2009 (UTC)The page in question is about WARS and CONFLICTS in Asia, china's accession of Tibet was by a Military action, which is considered a war. For an analogy what will you call Arab-israel conflict where a group of people are not ready accept the foreign rule.Qazmlp1029 (talk) 17:40, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- Your criterion on what is "minor" or not has no value or credibility nor does the assertion that something "minor" does not deserve to be listed. Let's be clear, the status quo version of the article contained this conflict. You are the one trying to apply your own opinion to the article by removing the conflict against consensus. I frankly have no interest in the history of Asian conflicts and which state gets into conflict with which one. Nirvana888 (talk) 17:43, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Well the "status quo" version u r talking about is a result of previous edits, Wikipedia requires a constant update and edition for improvment of articles.Qazmlp1029 (talk) 17:56, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Taiwan is the Republic of China
[edit]ROC is Taiwan's official name —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.106.88.37 (talk) 14:57, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
And how can the Chinese Civil War have affected Taiwan which was a Japanese colony during that time? But the 228 Incident (1947) should be listed Rolf-Peter Wille (talk) 05:17, 27 July 2014 (UTC)

The Kurukshetra War isn't yet proved to be a real battle and is still a part of the mythology of the Mahabharata, so it wouldn't be appropriate to add a mythological conflict in a article dedicated to conflicts of the world Master Sam 77 (talk) 15:12, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
