Piano Concerto

[edit]

The piano concerto has a date range of 1980-1988. But when you click to the article, the range is 1985-1988. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.244.74.98 (talk) 07:27, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I see you have changed it to 1985–88, which I believe is correct. Thanks for spotting this! --Deskford (talk) 10:28, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The structure of this page

[edit]

Can anyone explain why the works are listed by genre here? Most pages of this type offer a chronological order, and I think that is how this page should be as well, for which I wouldn't even have to mention that Ligeti, generally, did not work in genres. Some of his pieces fit in a genre alright, but the titles are deceiving, and most of the categories here are ambiguous. Kammerkonzert, for one, has nothing to do with the Piano Concerto, it is a piece for chamber ensemble. He wrote one opera. Musica ricercata lightly touches multiple genres. Some of his works are written for typical instrumentation, 2 string quartets, a couple of orchestral works, solo works, but quite a bunch are not, like Aventures and the like.

I suggest a large re-edit, for a purely chronological concept. It is not only more logical, more pleasing to the eye (up to the respective pair of each), but also easier to search and comprehend for the average brain. Anapazapa (talk) 03:31, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
