Promoting Misleading Information
[edit]In no other composer's list of compositions is there such an obvious attempt at discrediting their work. This introduction goes even further to sow doubt and even questions Ives honesty. I attempted to reword this intro keeping the spirit by noting the difficulty in dating his works while omitting speculation and jealousy expressed by the young Elliot Carter (1939) who had had the privilege of visiting Ives at his home. My rewording was deleted and only served to strengthen someone's resolve as they, whomever it was, apparently feels obligated or takes joy in emphasizing the difficulties in chronologically listing the compositions of Ives. This type of information, perhaps worthy of consideration, belongs on the Charles Ives main page, not here or at least not represented in this way. In general, Charles Ives has received less recognition than deserved for his pioneering work. I wish James Sinclair would write this introduction. Xno007 (talk) 16:31, 28 September 2021 (UTC)
