RE: Pietrobono de Burzellis (c.1417–1497, no compositions survive)
[edit]I have an LP recording, "Court Music for King Matthias" "(Matyas Kiraly Udvaranak Zeneje)" -- Hungariton SLPX 11844 which lists 6 cut by "Pietro Bono: 2 Pavanen" scored for 2 recorders, "Alt-Posaune / Tenor-Posaune" (instruments I do not know, in Hungarian) and percussion. Since the names (Pietrobono de Burzellis versus Pietro Bono) are so similar and the dates and locations are appropriate, I propose that this music is that of the same composer. Presumably the printer of the LP album misunderstood the name and rearranged it If so, at least these 6 pieces by Pietrobono de Burzellis apparently do survive.
