Note
There may be some crossover with List of comics based on television programs (for example Buffy is based on a film but most of the comics are based on the TV series, the most recent actually being called series 8) so some duplication is going to happen. If in doubt query it on the talk page rather than have editors adding and removing them depending on their opinions. Examples include Buffy, Highlander (a lot of the comics are based off the TV series), Ghostbusters (which is based on the TV series not directly on the film) and Serenity is interesting as it continues the film which was based on the TV series. 24
I did start a 24 (comic) that was OK as a stub but needed expanding [1] which got merged despite there being votes to keep and no votes to merge [2] so if people are moved returning it to Steve Blocks last edit and expanding wouldn't be too controversial. (Emperor 16:49, 26 February 2007 (UTC))
Category
Alot of these didn't link to the actual comic book page for the noted series, but many did. I created a category (Category:Comics based on Television) and entered the category to all the entries which were for specifically comic books. On the category page, i linked to here, which has only links to the direct show's sub-article on the comics.Kozmik Pariah 08:54, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- It isn't either or. In fact it is felt that lists are a better way of dealing with things than categories but either ay you shouldn't remove the links from this entry (it makes no sense). I am reverting your removals.
- Also the category is named wrong - it should be Category:Comics based on television programs. (Emperor 10:24, 3 May 2007 (UTC))
- Just in case - for comparison purposes see: Category:Films based on comics. The importance of the list is that additions can easily be monitored and checked and the category can be checked against it. (Emperor 10:29, 3 May 2007 (UTC))
Star Trek
There are a bunch more Star Trek comics not mentioned here. There were two Deep Space Nine comics (one by Malibu and one by Marvel), a Voyager comic (by Marvel), a TOS/X-Men crossover (by Marvel), and a TNG/X-Men crossover (by Marvel). I know because, uh, I own them. ~~JML —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.127.3.249 (talk) 16:51, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
