The Wikipedia manual of style is clear. MOS:HEADINGS says
- "Section headings should:
- …Not contain images or icons...
- These restrictions are necessary to avoid technical complications, and are not subject to override by local consensus or WP:IAR." ie that there are no exceptions to this.
Accordingly these should be removed. GraemeLeggett (talk) 21:24, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
- Done. Agree fully. Kind regards, Cavalryman V31 (talk) 08:47, 21 May 2019 (UTC).
Flipping order
I suggest the order of national section then vehicle type sub-section be flipped, it would eliminate a number of single section—sub-section—vehicle parts of the list. Are there any objections? Cavalryman V31 (talk) 10:58, 21 May 2019 (UTC).
a comment
"....the first ever completed tank prototype" not so "first" "ever" "completed" considering that the turret and other equipment was still missing — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.72.100.111 (talk) 03:41, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
a notice
should the titles go alphabetically from armoured cars to tanks?
also to the main description they all are ground combat vehicles — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.72.100.62 (talk) 19:27, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
- Hello IP, I do not support reordering the sections from their current order. And I do not believe we need to add “ground” to combat vehicles, the page combat vehicle covers that sufficiently. Regards, Cavalryman V31 (talk) 21:51, 24 May 2019 (UTC).
Key
There is a distinct difference between serving post-war and “only” serving post-war, I propose to restore the “only” to the key. Cavalryman V31 (talk) 03:10, 29 May 2019 (UTC).

- IP, thank you for compiling these. All of your Landships URLs are to their standard pages, at the bottom of each page is the direct link to that page, that is what we need. Regards, Cavalryman V31 (talk) 10:56, 31 May 2019 (UTC).
- What's the Reliability of Landships as a source? The general website pages have some sources cited but the general discussion forum is less reliable. In those latter cases we should seek to reference to the sources the discussion posts use, assuming they are reliable. GraemeLeggett (talk) 10:04, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- I don’t think any forum discussion posts can be considered RS, the Landships articles appear to be well written although it would be interesting if they were tested at RSN. Cavalryman V31 (talk) 11:34, 10 June 2019 (UTC).
- Probably 'easier' to look to the sources they quote. If Landships didn't pass RSN then we'd be needing to go to them anyway. GraemeLeggett (talk) 20:49, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

- A thought. The St Chamond bridging vehicle that was built is a form of remote controlled tracked vehicle but not an armoured fighting vehicle per se. GraemeLeggett (talk) 10:45, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- I would support its removal. Cavalryman V31 (talk) 11:34, 10 June 2019 (UTC).

GraemeLeggett, do you feel modelarchives.free.fr could be considered RS? Cavalryman V31 (talk) 19:08, 11 June 2019 (UTC).
- of itself, probably not but one could use it as source eg "St Chamond Bridging Vehicles", La Bestaire Extraordinaire de L'armee Francais, 2008,
citing "Les véhicules blindés français 1900-1944 par Pierre Touzin chez EPA"

Daimler Marienwagen II 5.2cm flugzeugabwehrkanone
IP, thank you for this edit which corrected the previously incorrect name on the page, in addition to not being a reliable source the discussion board post you refer suggests this was an improvised post-war mock-up so it should not be reintroduced to the page. Cavalryman V31 (talk) 09:16, 15 June 2019 (UTC).
- hey "smarty" one, wikipedia is not a reliable source either, all the sources it has are from others!
- don't try to fool us because you fool your own self!
- here is wikipedia: http://i68.tinypic.com/i5dkl2.jpg
- by the way you are wrong again about the halftrack because it was a 1918 construction according to this source: https://landships.activeboard.com/t65619308/a-question-about-a-halftrack/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.75.83.68 (talk) 09:48, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
- IP, that is not a reliable source and still just speculation. Cavalryman V31 (talk) 10:26, 16 June 2019 (UTC).
List of removed vehicles
I intend to remove vehicles with no Great War relevance, my intended rules for inclusion is conceptual, experimental, prototype, training and production vehicles that were either used in combat, produced or designed during the First World War.
Vehicles I have removed so far:
- Australia
- Austria-Hungary
- Burstyn Motorgeschütz
Austro-Daimler PanzerautoSource subsequently found and vehicle returned to list as Austro-Daimler armoured car
Cavalryman V31 (talk) 05:49, 16 June 2019 (UTC)- Austro-Daimler Spaherwagen
- France
- Germany
I will continue to chip away over time. Cavalryman V31 (talk) 09:18, 21 May 2019 (UTC).
- hey "chiper"! you continue to "chip" and the wrong ones without even showing a reliable source that proves it, chip away and the ones from your own country and not only from the other countries then! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.72.100.111 (talk) 05:00, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
- Hello IP, I think you need to familiarise yourself with WP:V, then afterwards WP:RS, currently every redlink is not verifiable so probably should be removed. Regards, Cavalryman V31 (talk) 05:36, 23 May 2019 (UTC).

A couple more removals that I cannot find sources for:
- German tanks:
- US tanks:
Cavalryman V31 (talk) 23:57, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- the interwebs tell me that the 'Hamilton' was built by Oakland Motor Car Company, designed by their Mr Hamilton. And that a source for this lies in Hunnicutt's 'Firepower' (Hunnicutt's books are big worthy tomes, and not cheap secondhand. I borrowed one once on interlibrary loan, came transatlantic from a mid-Western state). Whatever the vehicle is called "OMC Hamilton" doesn't look like it would fit wiki naming conventions. On sourcing, I strikes me that a history of the OMCC might cover it. GraemeLeggett (talk) 07:44, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- I cannot find anything through Google, but agree the naming (if sourced) is definitely incorrect. Cavalryman V31 (talk) 19:25, 11 June 2019 (UTC).

- "removed several that I cannot find sources for" you don't have to because you can't find, otherwise the deletion becomes a bad habit
- you don't have to delete because you don't know something!
