Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on List of cities in ASEAN by population. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Rewriting list of largest metropolitan areas

[edit]

To resolve inaccuracies and this article's overreliance on only one source, I will be working on a complete rewriting of the table of the largest metropolitan areas: population figures are to be sourced from the respective national censuses, with the extant of conurbations strictly following officially-defined areas where possible, and limiting the list to the largest 20 areas only. Feel free to add more suggestions here. hundenvonPG (talk) 05:21, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Purpose of new listing with arbritary distance from the city center?

[edit]

While sourced, the whole list of populations within 30km from the city centre is just ambiguous and arbritary.

If there isn't a solid point for retaining this list, it shouldn't be in the article at all. Open to discussions and will see how this goes in a week or so. hundenvonPG (talk) 13:09, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Given zero response to this issue for the past 1 week, safe to say that such a table of arbritary limits have little relevance to any listing of largest regional cities, let alone this one. Table removed. hundenvonPG (talk) 10:27, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
