This article is entitled "List of cemeteries in Toronto", however, in the lead section it states that the list includes cemeteries both in "Toronto" and the "Greater Toronto Area" (GTA). It should be noted that these are two distinct geographic areas. Toronto is bounded by Lake Ontario to the south, Etobicoke Creek and Highway 427 to the west, Steeles Avenue to the north, and the Rouge River to the east, while the GTA includes those large populated areas outside Toronto's boundaries. Cemeteries in the GTA should have their own article; listing them here would make this list prohibitively long and unmanageable. Thank you for your input.
