Speedy deletion
[edit]I fail to see how this meets the criteria for speedy deletion under any guideline, let alone WP:CSD#A3. Could the nominator provide further rationale as to why these lists I created are their target, while thousands of similar lists exist on Wikipedia without such headaches involved? Proposed merger
[edit]I suggest this article is merged with List of blues-rock performers, as both cover broadly the same ground, albeit are set out marginally differently. Any thoughts ? Derek R Bullamore (talk) 19:14, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- I am in favour of the move. Which title is preferred?--SabreBD (talk) 08:30, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
- It's 'musicians' for me - 'performers' sounds like a circus act. Also, there are plenty of Wikipedia lists using the word musician; eg. List of blues musicians (and there are many more of this type). Cheers,
We shouldn’t merge. We should keep this article and delete the other. This article is more and accurate and sourced. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.130.2.38 (talk) 11:48, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
I meant more accurate and sourced. Sorry for the typo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.130.2.38 (talk) 11:53, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
List's of Blues Harp players
[edit]A yr ago I was ranked #25 living or dead (which I will be soon enough as am terminally ill with Agent Orange induced cancers 6forms)and now I'm no longer on list At All was listed just below Paul Butterfield... Also I would like to add ur list is absolutely lacking I can name 10 of current GREAT Blues Harp players not to mention flat out Blues musicians ...Being on the board of directors of Music City Blues Society ...I might have a better grasp on how many truly good Blues players there are just in Nashville Alone... Personally I take umbridge with the fact that u don't seem to appreciate the yrs of practice n dedication most Blues or any type of musicians has put in ( in my case 50 playing harp n singing of which 35 yrs have been professionally on stage night after night honing my craft as with many other musicians very many of which I've had the privilege and yes honor of playing with from The great BB King to some uve never obviously heard...thank you for your time... - @Papa TomKat B: Wikipedia articles must be about notable topics, and must meet notability criteria before being considered worthy of inclusion. There are specific criteria for people, particularly living persons, and also criteria for musicians.
- Assertions of notability have to be backed up by citing writeups from reliable, third-party sources. Your own unpublished personal knowledge or opinions are considered to be original research, which cannot be used.
- We highly discourage people from writing about themselves, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography. --Drm310 (talk) 14:33, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
