Suggestion

This is just a suggestion, but maybe we can further sub-devide into Municipalities?

Regional Municipalities?

Is there an Official list of municipalities and their regions? For example... Guánica is listed in the western region. From the Map some might construe it to be in the Southern region (like myself).

Geographycally speaking, PR is 100mi East to west x 35mi North to South. Therefore, in my Logic, there would be more municipalities in the Northern and Southern regions than in the Eastern or Western. Hi there, actually, geographically speaking Puerto Rico might be an island but it is also an archipelago. The Puerto Rico that is mentioned in this list and in the majority of the articles is about the archipelago of Puerto Rico, that includes the island-municipalities of Vieques and Culebra, and other islands such as Mona and Caja de Muerto, just to mention a few. That is why firstly I eliminated the mention of "Coast" from the article, since for example any of the islands have coast on the 4 cardinal points. As for regions, those were added since recently Municipalities have been joining forces and creating Tourism region, recognized by Government of Puerto Rico, the first of such was Porta del Sol, which recently hosted the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. A few years after Porta del Sol the southern region followed soot and implemented Porta Caribe, which follows the same premise as Porta del Sol. It make sense that we arrange municipalities in this way since if we just arrange them by ""coast" with their would be confusion in what to do with municipalities such as Aguadilla and Cabo Rojo, that are in the Northern'and Southern coast respectively and are both also in the Western Coast. Guys, I'm having some trouble determining the actual amount of beaches. The lead says "250", yet a DRNA document that I'm using to build some prose claims that it is "250 miles of coastline" and "over 200 beaches", with 87 of them being swimmable. The PMZC only recognizes 51 public beaches. - Caribbean~H.Q. 23:23, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

• 250 miles of Coastline sounds accurate geographically. Although Culebra and Vieques would make it closer to 300. That would make the "claim" of 250 Beaches very unlikely and I recommend the Lead be rewritten to something more verifiable. The Second source I found has some beaches listed as "not for swimming" and just for "fishing and adventuring". We should stick to the definition of "Beach".QuazGaa 01:23, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
