What is this a list of?

This list's topic seems rather vauge. Is it a list of all "amphibious warfare ships" (whatever they are exactly - a definition is needed) ever built, or is it a list of the "amphibious warfare ships" which have served in the major national navies during the last 30 or so years? (which would explain why only active and recently decommissioned ships are listed) - at present it's a jumble of different types of ships and isn't very useful as a reference. --Nick Dowling 11:56, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

US Centric

This page is very US centric as is the parent article. Even though it lists many countries, terms are specific to the US Navy, and not a generalized term, but US Navy jargon. 132.205.95.143 01:14, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
