this ambassador is leaving the Obama Dept. of State -- Ambassadorship

USA TODAY is running a story (www.usatoday.com on June 29, 2012 as of 8 a.m. Eastern Time Zone) that he is leaving his post as ambassador to resign

There is only sketchy remarks about the resignation being over policy differences -- he will have served 14 months in this tumultous country -- he is from ILLINOIS originally and is one of Obama's military advisers
