Alfonso de la Cueva may have been an envoy in the Southern Netherlands, but wasn't accredited to the government of the Dutch Republic. Spain didn't recognize Dutch Republic as a sovereign state the until 1648 at the Peace of Münster. The inaugural holder should be Antoine Brun baron d'Aspremont. Truly, Alfonso de la Cueva shouldn't even be on this list of ambassadors of Spain to the Netherlands. --OSeveno (talk) 15:50, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
