Korean Empire and state continuity

[edit]

I fixed various problems here. First, there's an WP:NPOV issue with assuming that "The List of Ambassadors from Germany to South Korea began after diplomatic relations were established in 1883". North and South Korea disagree which one of them is the successor to the Korean Empire. South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade considers its relations with Germany to have begun in 1955. Furthermore, Germany did not recognise the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea. This is the second time I've seen this problem in a list of ambassadors to South Korea (I don't recall where was the first time). Second, Germany's representative in the Korean Empire was referred to as a consul-general, not an ambassador. I've added a source to this effect. cab (call) 07:56, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
