Possible Artists
[edit]Is Coldplay considered an Adult Alternative artist? Yes, Coldplay is adult alternative in some ways, but other ways they're britpop and piano rock.I saw Coldplay being labeled as adult alternative on Rhapsody music.
- I feel i must explain why i put evanescence, aly n aj, and daughtry: aly and aj's reference leads to the allmusic page for their second album, but on the main page amg doesnt classify them as adult alternative, but itunes does. daughtry's reference also leads to their second album page from amg, but on the first album page it also classifies them as adult alternative, but i dont know why, it doesnt say it on their main page, and itunes also classifies them as adult alternative. And well evanescence, itunes classifies them...i guess its justified if anyone takes off evanescence from the list since it doesnt have a reference, but still you can check yourself in itunes in the rock subgenres. 24.139.117.90 (talk) 01:33, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
The list contains a number of heavy metal acts, including Motley Crue and Poison, but I've never heard them on AAA stations, and most consciously avoid harder rock in the first place. I would suggest removing most of them. David Delony (talk) 22:17, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
What even is this list
[edit]Adult alternative is very much a real genre, but it seems like whoever's adding artists to this list desperately should have read up on what it covers first. There is no justification for Camila Cabello, Ice Cube, Motley Crue, or Billy Ray Cyrus (to name just a few) being on here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:5230:8880:D845:BDD2:F3FA:DE8D (talk) 02:30, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
