Refactored
[edit]I've refactored this from List of addresses to the Oireachtas. The Seanad invites people much more often than the Dáil, and as part of its regular business rather than as a ceremonial honour, so the two lists are better kept separate. jnestorius(talk) 12:41, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
Paul Murphy no-show
[edit]I note that Paul Murphy was invited on 28 May 2013 to address the Seanad on 30 May 2013, but did not do so. He did speak on 7 March 2013 at the joint committee on EU affairs, which also met on 30 May 2013, though without any MEPs present on the latter date. I wonder whether Murphy's absence from the Seanad was a snub; that would be consistent with the Socialist Party's support for the Abolition of the Seanad. jnestorius(talk) 10:44, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
