early comments

[edit]

"Place cootamundra eat a dog for lunch" What does this mean? Does it have any relevance? If yes the article should say, if no it should be removed —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.173.128.90 (talkcontribs) .

That was just vandalism. It should just say "Place". I removed it. SCHZMO 12:45, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Interned

[edit]

I changed 'interred' to 'interned', since 'interred' means buried (a common error). I also wikilinked that word and others. The National War Act of 1939 doesn't wikilink to anything as titled - does this Act exist under a different actual name, or has nobody yet created an article for it? I'll take a look... Blue Range

[edit]

Anyone know anything about the Blue Range camp in the ACT? It was used to house Germans and Italians in WW2 but I can't find any reference to it, even on the national archives site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.105.33.22 (talk) 06:28, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kinglake

[edit]

There was a PoW programme at King LakeKinglake (Victoria) where P's o. W. worked. This was scheduled as "PWCH V-18 Kinglake" "PWCC V-18 Kinglake". Not sure if it qualifies as a "camp"; if so, it should be listed. —DIV (115.64.145.215 (talk) 06:54, 19 December 2017 (UTC)) See http://ozatwar.com/pow/pow.htm. —DIV (115.64.145.215 (talk) 07:08, 19 December 2017 (UTC))[reply]

Apparently PWCC = Prisoner of War Control Centre (without guards). See https://italianprisonersofwar.files.wordpress.com/2017/10/angelos-prisoner-of-war-journey.pdf. —DIV (115.64.145.215 (talk) 07:12, 19 December 2017 (UTC))[reply]
