Why is there a tag on this?

[edit]

I'm curious. All the alumni in this say they went to Widener in their Wikipedia profiles. So why would there need to be another source? I'm not saying there should not be, but most schools have a list of alumni, and so this would mean most of them would need sources other than the articles. A source is required for each person in the list per WP:SELCRIT. That goes also goes for lists within articles too. Most editors will let it slide if the info is stated in the linked article, depending on the ratiing of the aritlce. However, if this alumni list were still part of the college's article, sources would be required before that article could recieve GA status. The reason for this requirement is pretty simple: a large number of articles lack a source for the information being relied on. Some of the linked aritcles will have no sources or could even have a flag questioning the person's notability. I will eventually go through and work on adding sources but your help would be appreciated. Rublamb (talk) 21:21, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
