I've corrected some mistakes regarding the status and appearance of some characters, and rearranged some (mainly to put the characters in order of appearance). Also, I moved up every character to have appeared in 11 or more episodes to the "supporting characters" section. Also, I've added every character to have appeared in at least 4 episodes (save from a handful very minor characters who have appeared in 4 episodes only, e.g. the town council members of season 3). Hope it's OK for everyone. --Kefas80 (talk) 22:36, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Special guest characters

[edit]

This table lists actors who played characters who did not play a significant role in the series but are played by actors or actresses who are themselves famous or noteworthy. Notice that the first two examples are Linda Hamilton and Alison Janney. Actor's or actress's most famous role listed for reader's reference.--S trinitrotoluene (talk) 05:43, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, this section should include actors who play themselves in minor roles. Example: Craig X.--S trinitrotoluene (talk) 05:55, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well - that's really not an encyclopedic distinction. To separate actors appearing as themselves from other guest characters make sense, but what makes Lee Majors, Carrie Fisher, Zooey Deschanel, or Allison Janney any more noteworthy than, say, Justin Chatwin, Julie Bowen, Peter Stormare or Larry Joe Campbell is just a matter of opionion. --Kefas80 (talk) 09:51, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Judah as a ghost

[edit]

The following section was removed from the section Judah Botwin regarding Shane's "communication" with Judah at the end of season three. "[Shane is] initially staring directly into the camera, perhaps suggesting that the entire series has been seen from the perspective of Judah's ghost." Wikipedia does not publish origional research. Deleted per WP:FORUM. Please provide sources.--S trinitrotoluene (talk) 05:19, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fictional characters in real life offices

[edit]

When discussing Esteban, Vaughn Coleman, and other fictional characters holding real life offices, it is important to stress that they only hold those offices within the context of the series. See[WP:IN-U]--S trinitrotoluene (talk) 01:19, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stevie Ray and the Grays in early season seven

[edit]

Jill did not discuss why Stevie views Nancy as her Aunt instead of his mother. Any motives on Jill's part is speculation. There is no evidence that he was legally renamed as "Gray" or even if Jill has the authority to do so.--S trinitrotoluene (talk) 20:40, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Judah as Silas' "adoptive" father?

[edit]

I don't know if that's right. Did Judah actually adopt Silas? From my memory of the series, what I would say is that "Judah was presumed to be Silas' father until Silas and Shane met Lars Guinard << URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Weeds_characters#Lars_Guinard >> in Season Six." Although Nancy may have known or suspected Silas' paternity before she saw the DNA test results, I don't remember any indication that Judah or Silas or anybody else wondered about that. jawhitzn (talk) 21:28, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Bubbie" Botwin?

[edit]

Shouldn't she be listed in the Botwin family, especially now that Andy has brought her up in Season 7? — Preceding unsigned comment added by James A Whitson (talkcontribs) 02:35, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

She is under Lenny Botwin. Bubbie's importance is mostly in reference to Lenny specifically; however, a note will be added to Maxeen's entry.--S trinitrotoluene (talk) 18:38, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs to be broken up.

[edit]

Botwin Family

[edit]

Start with all Botwins and family relatives discussed on one page.

Then, create seperate pages for Nancy, Andy, Silas, and Shane

Stevie may get is own page later if there is a season eight.

Promote Lipeda to Botwin Family

Four family pages

[edit]

One for the Hodes family.

One for Wilson family.

One for Heylia's family.

One for Esteban's associates.

Season pages

[edit]

One page for S1, S2, and S3.

One page for S4 and S5

One page for S6, S7 and S8 (if needed)

Capt Till would be discussed in both S3 briefly, but his whole story would be told in S4/S5

Audra and Gayle would be discussed in S5 mostly, briefly in S6

S4/S5 will have a section for minor Agrestic holdover characters (Pam, Sanjay, etc.) --S trinitrotoluene (talk) 10:30, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
